“Dear children! Today I call you to look into your hearts sincerely and for a long time. What will you see in them? Where is my Son in them and where is the desire to follow me to Him? My children, may this time of renunciation be a time when you will ask yourself: ‘What does my God desire of me personally? What am I to do?’ Pray, fast, and have a heart full of mercy. Do not forget your shepherds. Pray that they may not get lost, that they may remain in my Son so as to be good shepherds to their flock.”

Our Lady looked at all those present and added:

CHANGES IN THE NEWS

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Medjugorje is part of the Dioceses of Mostar. In February 09 the Bishop of Mostar, Ratko Peric  sent a letter to Sister Elvira the founder of Community Cenacolo, where Mirjana's has her apparitions on the second of each month. The Bishop requested the apparitions at Cenacolo stop immediately. In obedience to the authority of the Bishop, Sister Elvira has no choice but to accept the Bishops orders. It is no secret Bishop Peric is a long time outspoken critic against the Medjugorje apparitions. During an investigation of a claimed apparitions, church officials are suppose to remain silent, offering no public negative or positive opinion until a decision is handed down by due process. Despite Church procedure,  Bishop Peric continues to violate Church rule in his ongoing efforts to bring negative publicity against the Medjugorje apparitions, even though the apparitions are under  investigation by a Vatican appointed Commission. The Bishop's hatred for the Medjugorje apparitions will certainly now cause harm to Community Cenacolo, a successful drug rehab for teens. Hundreds of people come to Medjugorje every month to be present during Mirjana's apparition with the Virgin Mary at Community Cenacolo. There is no question the open exposure to Mirjana at Community Cenacolo has been instrumental in raising awareness and funding for the continued success of Cenacolo. Medjugorje USA is asking every one to pray as we believe if anyone is hurt by the Bishop's decision, it is the teens who are already struggling. 

UPDATE: Medjugorje USA is happy to inform our readership that Mirjana's March 2, 09 apparition was public and took place at Mirjana's home. In efforts to keep the apparitions public for everyone, there is some talk as to where the apparitions will take place in the future. There is some talk that "Blue Cross" may be the new location for Mirjana's apparition but no final decision has been made at this time.

GOOD NEWS: We are also happy to report that we have a video of the March 2 apparition taken at Mirjana's home, thanks to the efforts of our friend Vittrorio. You can view this video in our video archives at this link Mirjana's previous apparition videos.

UPDATE:  Mirjana's annual apparition on March 18th took place at "Blue Cross." We suspect for the time being that the apparition will continue to take place at Blue Cross so the public can attend as the apparitions are no longer allowed at Community Cenacolo due to the Bishop's continued harassment.

OTHER NEWS:   Medjugorje USA has learned that Medjugorje visionary Marija who received the monthly message from Our Lady on the 25th of each month as been banned from having any more apparition at "The Oasis of Peace." Masses and other religious practices in Oasis of Peace have also been banned, per order the Bishop. Medjugorje USA has often written about the Bishop's unending campaign to destroy the Medjugorje apparitions. Because he has jurisdiction over the Medjugorje area in his diocese, he can forcibly push his will on communities such as Cenacolo or Oasis of Peace. Even so, due to previous tainted commissions appointed to investigate the Medjugorje apparitions, the rights to investigate Medjugorje have been taken away from the local Bishop and is in the hands of the Vatican itself. During the time of such an investigation the Church does not allow anyone to discuss it. The Bishop has been asked to remain silent during the investigation but the Bishop has been disobedient to his superiors.
