False
Prophets
/Ravenous
Wolves
Now if our names are written in the Book of Life and it has been done so
since the foundation of the world, then, God was there before us and will be
here after us, because God is Beginning and End. God is Alpha and Omega, Alpha
(Beginning) Omega (end). Revelation 1-8, and 21-6. I would mention here
Revelation 22-13-14, again. "I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last,
the beginning and end! Blessed are they who wash their robes, that they may have
the right to the tree of life and that by the gates they may enter into the
city." Where is this gate by which those who have the right to the tree of
life enter into the city?
Mat. 7-13-14, "Enter by the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad
is the way that leads to destruction, and many are they who enter that way. How
narrow the gate and close the way that leads to life! And few there are who find
it." Here Jesus tells us that the gate that leads to life is narrow and
close. Indeed the gate is close, so close that few are they who find it. That
gate is, interior life. Yet, Jesus warns us to be careful as He continues in
Mat. 7-15, "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep clothing, but
inwardly are ravenous wolves."
We find here false prophets who in all outward appearances seem to be
teaching good things, so that many believe in their false teachings. Those who
believe false teachings are lead away from the path that leads to interior life.
So that Jesus said, "Broad is the way that leads to destruction."
Jesus is our Shepherd. We should follow Him. Yet, if we believe in those who
are dressed in sheep clothing then we may allow ourselves to be subject to some
false teachings, which will lead us to the ravenous wolves. These false teachers
lead away even the chosen from the path that leads to life. So how will we know
these false teachers among us? Mat. 7-16-18, "By their fruits you will know
them. Do men gather grapes from thorns, of fig from thistles? Even so, every
good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit."
So we must watch carefully for these teachers that would claim to lead us to
safe pasture, that we are not lead to the wolves instead. We must keep on a path
that leads to life. The path I speak of is within you. If you know your path,
you can not be lead astray from your path. However do not be ignorant to your
brothers and sisters who come teaching. For what they say may very well
be truth. Instead you will know them by their fruits. Reading the Scripture
will help you determine those who are false. You can see
here the importance of knowing your Scriptures so you can know these false
teachers by their fruits.
The time will come when these false teachers will pay the price for their
falsehood, Mat. 7-19-20, "Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut
down and thrown into the fire." Therefore by their fruits you will know
them.
Jesus continues, verse 21-23, "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord,
Lord,' shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of My
father in heaven shall enter the kingdom of heaven. Many will say to me in that
day, 'Lord, Lord,' did we not prophesy in your Name and cast out devils in your
name, and work many miracles in your name?' And I will declare to them, I never
knew you. Depart from me you worker of iniquity."
If these false teachers are ravenous wolves inwardly, then they have not
entered into the kingdom of heaven, which is within. These false teachers
(having not done the will of our Father, who is in heaven,) have not entered
heaven. So Jesus said, "But he who does the will of My Father in heaven
shall enter the kingdom of heaven."
Now when these false teachers stand before the throne of the One True Judge,
they will defend themselves saying, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your
name, and cast out devils in your name, and work many miracles in your name.'
Yet, Jesus the True Judge knows their works, for they have lead the sheep to the
wolves, for the slaughter, by means of their unsound doctrine. So Jesus shall
say to these teachers, "Depart from me you worker of iniquity."
Jesus continues in verses 24-25, "Everyone therefore who hears these my
words and acts upon them, shall be liken to a wise man who built his house on
rock. And the rain fell and the floods came and the wind blew and beat against
that house, but it did not fall, because it was founded on rock."
Those who enter the kingdom of heaven are the houses that are built on rock.
The rain, wind, and floods are the false teachers who try to shake the house
from its foundation. But, the house will not fall because it had been built on
rock.
Jesus continues in verses 26-27, "And everyone who hears these My words
and does not act upon them, shall be likened to a foolish man who built his
house on sand. And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat
against that house, and it fell and was utterly ruined."
Those who allow these false teachers to take them off their path of interior
life, are the houses that are built on sand. So, when the rain, flood and wind
come, (which are the false teachers) that house is utterly ruined. So then the
house which was utterly ruined, are the sheep that have been lead astray by the
false shepherds who are the rain, flood and wind. They seek only to lead you to
the wolves by their cunning.
Now when the wind and rain and floods come, we know that only destruction
comes out of it. Yet, if we have the foundation of Christ which is built on rock,
standing inside the gates of interior life, having been instructed through the
Scriptures by the grace of the living God, we will see the fruits of these
wolves clothed in sheep clothing.
Woe to the house built on sand! How will you hold up when the storms come?
What support and foundation will keep you standing? You will be left in utter
ruin having been swept away by the floods. "Broad is the way that leads to
destruction, and many there are who enter that way. How narrow the gate and
close the way that leads to life, and few there are who find it."
So, see that you pass through the narrow gate (interior life), follow the
signposts that lead you on the path of righteousness, and beware of the fruit of
the false prophets who lead the righteous to the ravenous wolves.
