This is the official ©"Purgatory Oblation Warrior" Chaplet, offered exclusively by Medjugorje USA's "POW Prayer Group Apostolate." . We are the largest organized Purgatory Prayer Group in the world with well over 2300 official members worldwide. All chaplets are made by the webmaster of Medjugorje USA, Michael Kenneth Jones.

Donations for the POW Chaplet by Credit Card are $10.00- $15.00 & $20.00 Donation are used to support the operations of Medjugorje USA and our Rosary and Divine Mercy Mission. We also support poor children in El Salvador who have no family.

By Credit Card: This POW chaplet is by credit card purchase only and includes multi-faceted dark sapphire 8mm beads with 3 same size multi-faceted red ruby beads for remembrance of the Holy Trinity and Blood of Christ. POW Chaplets also comes with a flat sterling silver finish crucified Jesus cross. Also includes with your Chaplet is a blue zippered "Ave Maria" rosary case, Our Lady of Medjugorje Novena brochure and POW Apostolate brochure. The POW brochure includes the Chaplet prayers, instructions how to use the Chaplet and history of the ©"Purgatory Oblation Warrior" Apostolate.

By mail we offer two different chaplets
FREE CHAPLET: Due to increases in the cost of supplies and shipping, we now respectfully ask a minimum of $5.00 per chaplet to at least cover the cost of shipping. After buying supplies and shipping we do not make a profit off of the FREE CHAPLET. Send an email to email:info@medjugorjeusa.org requesting a POW Chaplet with the donation amount you would like to offer. We will contact you via email with mailing instructions. Please note we can not put the sterling silver crucifix on the free chaplets. The silver crucifix will be replaced with an oxidized nickel compound cross. The POW Pamphlet is included but the Medjugorje Novena Pamphlet is not. Rosary case also not included.

Please note; In the past we have receiving request for 20, 30 plus chaplets with a total donation amount of only $1.00. $1.00 does not even cover the cost of the paper supplies and printing. History of the Purgatory Oblation Warrior Prayer Group

In June of 2001, Medjugorje USA started an online prayer group called the "POW" prayer group whose mission is to pray for the poor souls in Purgatory. POW stands for Purgatory Oblation Warrior. The idea of the prayer group is based on Our Lady of Medjugorje message on July 21, 1982.

"Concerning Purgatory: There are many souls in Purgatory. There are also persons who have been consecrated to God - some Priests and Religious. Pray for their intentions, at least the Lord's Prayer, the Hail Mary, and the Glory Be seven times each, and the Creed. I recommend it to you. There is a large number of souls who have been in Purgatory for a long time because no one prays for them."

As the Webmaster of Medjugorje USA and founder of the POW Prayer Group, I cannot find the words to explain how important it is that we pray for the poor souls in Purgatory who cannot pray for themselves. I am completely dedicated to this mission. Because the souls in Purgatory are no longer alive in the flesh, their only hope is that we here on earth will pray for them. The practice of praying for souls in Purgatory has long been forgotten, today few Catholic's pray for them. What most of us have forgotten is that when souls prayed for are released from Purgatory they go directly before the throne of God where they pray for the souls on earth who prayed for them. This is a great blessing for Purgatory souls and us on earth.

The chaplet consists of a Crucifix on which is prayed the "Creed," Our Lady's favorite prayer. The Crucifix and "Creed" on the POW chaplet stands as a reminder that we are all one in unity. There are three sets of beads on the chaplet, which stand for the Holy Trinity. On the first set of beads we say 7 Our Father's, on the second set we say 7 Hail Mary's and on the third set we say 7 Glory Be's. There are three red beads on the Chaplet located on the seventh prayer of each set; this is to remind us that in the end it is the blood of Christ shed for the forgiveness of sins that sets us free and the 3 red beads also represents the graces of the Holy Trinity through the blood shed. There are 7 beads to each set, the number 777 is said to be the number of perfection, according to Scripture. It is through the sacrifice of the Blood of the Lamb, (Jesus Christ,) that we who believe may enter the Kingdom of God. However, upon death not all souls have reached the perfection of forgiveness so these souls are sent to a place of purification called "Purgatory." Purgatory souls can not pray for themselves, they must hope that we on earth will pray for them. When a soul is released from Purgatory that soul prays before the throne of God for the souls on earth that prayed for them. Lastly, Our Lady of Medjugorje appears wearing a blue mantle, so the remaining beads on the chaplet are sapphire blue.

Certainly Medjugorje USA would like to make the chaplet and give them away for free but this is just not realistic. Remember you can pray these prayers using your fingers but I found that I loose count; the POW chaplet did solve this problem for me. We are not asking a set price for this chaplet but leaving it in the hands of God in hopes those who would like a chaplet realized the time, cost, shipping involved and our need to raise funds to keep Medjugorje USA on the World Wide Web. Currently we ship only in the U.S. because of money exchanging and shipping charges.
