Email From POW Members

I had been praying the Apostles Creed and 7 Hail Marys, 7 Our Fathers, and 7 Glory Be's every evening for the souls in Purgatory (especially members of my deceased family) for the past two weeks or so. I was concerned about my mother who died long ago and worried about her since she had a brother whom she refused to forgive for the terrible wrong he had done her. Well, last night, the image of her as a young woman popped up in my mind out of nowhere and that brief happy image of her showed me what my mom looked like when she was much younger. I suppose someone could argue that this was just a coincidence, but I wonder if she was telling me she was released from Purgatory.
PS Protestants don't believe in purgatory because it isn't specifically mentioned in the Bible but they cannot answer for the following question: If there is no purgatory, where does a person's soul go after death if he had told a small lie and for which he refused forgiveness? Does he go to heaven? (No, since nothing "unclean" can enter) Does he go to hell? (No, because God would not be unjust in condemning him to the same fate as a person who committed horrible crimes and hated God with his last breath).  Logic says there absolutely MUST be a purgatory.

To Whom it May Concern: Please enroll me in the POW prayer group. I am very concerned for all of the souls in Purgatory and have always prayed for them. I believe in our Mother's message to pray, pray and pray. I will be ordering the special chaplet beads. You may contact me at anytime in order to ask for my prayers. I keep a link with our beautiful Mother on my desktop in order that I may see and talk to her daily. Through Her, I am brought to Him. I am eternally grateful to her and will do anything that She asks of us. From my experience with Medjagore, I am brought to prayer. I am faithful to our Holy Father in Rome, yet, I also believe fervently in both Mary's presence and messages in Medjagore. I am a one small product of her messages. From Her, I have been given the wonderful gift of prayer! I wish to use my gift for the intentions of many and this includes the souls in Purgatory. Thank you for enrolling me. Faithfully Yours in Christ and His Mother, Geraldine Capachione

I have been praying for souls in purgatory my entire life and I feel blessed to have been informed of a large number of people participating in this powerful prayer circle.  Thank you so much for existing and for continuing to pray as I have for many years. Love and Light in Christ, Jennifer Neal

I would like to join you in praying for souls in purgatory. I am in Springfield, Ohio. I currently offer to the Father the most precious Blood of His Devine Son together with all Masses offered throughout the world each day for ALL holy souls in purgatory. I always include all of those who have died without baptism, especially those unborn children aborted for any reason and those who, for whatever reason, were never baptized.I will begin offering seven Our Fathers, Hail Mary's and Glory Be's with the creed for those souls daily from now on. Thank you. Dan

Thank you for your efforts in emptying purgatory. I am part of a Novena club and we encourage our other members to also join POW:) Alejandrina Anaya, California USA

Thank you Thank you for the opportunity to do this with a group. Now when the thoughts of "how can your little prayers help so many" comes into my head and doubt starts to set in, I will KNOW that it is a tactic from the enemy because I will know that my prayers are joined with MANY. Yes, let's empty purgatory!

Only now am I able to understand what purgatory is ! Thanks to this message!  I am from Cape town / South Africa, Lucy

I have a friend that committed suicide February 15, 2011 and I want her to go to heaven. I want her to get out of purgatory. Please, please, please, pray for Lindsey Cardno's soul. She was the best friend,  mother, sister, child, all around amazing person. I am now giving my heart and soul to God. I just want to be happy again and have her soul rest in peace. I want her to be the first face I see when I get to heaven. Shannon.
Please I humbly request to be enlisted as a member of this noble apostolate; the greatest charity of all charities. I already know of the daily commitment of one Apostles Creed, 7 Our Father, 7 Hail Mary and 7 Glory Be. Please keep me informed of other programs and commitments.
.....we must empty Purgatory -Padre Pio
and we will through the merit of Our Lady of Perpetual help; Mother of Medjugorje and our sincere Little commitment.
Please allow me to share a personal exercise to the aid of souls in purgatory;
Any time I save a mail or a bottle of cold water especially when I'm very hungry or thirsty, before I eat  or drink it, I pause for few seconds for the release of Holy souls in Purgatory. I also do that with interesting Tv programs or football match.
This forth coming world cup in Africa can be a powerful means for football lovers like me to free so many souls from purgatory if Our Lord Jesus Christ will accept it; I trust he would. The days my country will  will play the First match with Argentina, which no Nigerian will want to miss for anything, i intend by the Grace of God to sacrifice the 1st half of that all important match doing a spiritual or corporal work of Mercy while the eyes of the rest of the world will be glued on tv. Please we all can also practice this if we consider it edifying.
Glory to Jesus Hon. to Mary.

I had read about St. Anselm a short while ago, who tells us to have Masses said for ourselves.  What an extraordinary message!  I wrote out a Carmelite card in my own name for prayers and Masses and sent them a stipend, they are located in Middletown, New York.  That very same day I was in a car accident that totaled my car, but I was left without any physical injury, just traumatized, (I drive much more carefully) and so I am eternally grateful to our Lady of Mount Carmel.  The last week or so I tried to remember the saint's name who tells us to have Masses said for ourselves,--- could not remember it.  I went to Google with the question and found your website with the information I was seeking!!!  God gave us the internet for good purposes----perhaps that was what He had in mind!! By the way, I try to say the Saint Gertrude's Purgatory Prayer as many times a day as I can----we MUST empty Purgatory.  1000 souls are released each time it is said!    It is short and sweet-----ETERNAL FATHER, I OFFER THEE THY THE MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD OF THY DIVINE SON, JESUS, IN UNION WITH THE MASSES SAID THROUGHOUT THE WORLD TODAY FOR ALL THE HOLY SOULS IN PURGATORY, FOR SINNERS EVERYWHERE, FOR SINNERS IN THE UNIVERSAL CHURCH, THOSE IN MY OWN HOME, AND WITHIN MY FAMILY. AMEN.   God Bless You all for your good work.

My name is Frances LoBiondo, I live in New Jersey, U.S.A. I am seeking to become a member of POW

Hello Michael,

I just received the two POW rosary beads I had ordered for myself and my daughter, Julianne Casey, in the mail this afternoon, Saturday, September 13, 2008.  We just recently signed up for membership.  Upon receipt of the POW rosary chaplets, I had goosebumps all over.  First of all, I was not scheduled to receive these chaplets until mid week next week per tracking information.  When I received them today, I knew right away why I received them "today" as opposed to next week; our Lady wants me to immediately begin my prayers for the people who perished yesterday, Friday, September 12, 2008 @ 4:23 pm in the Metrolink train crash @ Chatsworth, California.  It is the worst train accident with the worst fatalities in 20 years.  With the goosebumps, I felt a lot of them are headed for Purgatory; and I also will pray for all those in Purgatory who have been there for who knows how long.

I really believe of Our Lady's miraculous timing of my receiving the POW rosary chaplets on the day I had received them.  And Michael, the chaplets are beautiful.  God bless all of you! Jessica, Los Angeles, California,

I'm Dvalyn Arnold from San Diego, California, in the United States and I just got my P.O.W. prayer chaplet in the mail yesterday and I want to be a member! Let's empty Purgatory! (By the way, I'm Baptist, but I believe in Purgatory and I would want people to pray for me, so let us pray for the lost and suffering in Purgatory!)
With the Love and Jesus and Mary,
    Dvalyn Arnold

My name is Dina Reeder and I'm from IL and I'm writing to sign up for membership.  After reading your website about the souls in Purgatory, I feel moved to pray consistently for them, and will extend my prayers after praying my daily rosary.  I just ordered the chaplet, too, and I'm excited to receive that as well.
I would like to take this opportunity to tell you how much I LOVE your website, Medjugorje USA, and I want to especially thank you for posting the visionary's schedule.  My rosary group and I went to see Ivan in January when he came to Illinois, and it was such a special experience.  To be able to pray the rosary, be present during the apparition, celebrate Holy Mass and have Eucharistic Adoration all in the same night was wonderful.  Also to hear Ivan speak about his mission and personally repeating the messages he receives was just a great experience, something I will remember for a long time.  I would like to go to Medjugorje someday, but I feel especially blessed that Blessed Mother was able to come to Illinois.  Thank you again for all that you do to make such a beautiful website.

Dear Michael,
Hello! I am your newest (and maybe the youngest-13 yrs. old) member of
POW, John Patrick Pineda.I must say that this is really a blessing for me.
One night, I just prayed to Mama Mary
to show me what she wants me to do.
Then, I saw her in my dream, saying, "Pray for the
souls in purgatory..they need your help! You may be young, but you will be the weapon of their
liberation..." I woke up, and instantly prayed theOur Father, Hail Mary, and the Glory Be and the offering
of St. Getrude.
I hope that my prayers will help them, especially the Rosary. I made my own chaplet for the
prayers. Thank you for admitting me here!
God be with you!
John Patrick Pineda
Dear Michael,
I just wanted to let you know that I have been a member of the POW just about since its inception.  And I can honestly say that I don't think I have
missed a day of saying these prayers.  What a wonderful idea this was.
I have said a daily rosary since 1994 and I say the POW prayers immediately after the rosary.  In the past year and a half, I have added a person (and I have been through so many) to pray for their intentions for the day, and as I end the rosary and begin my POW prayers, I ask that the person I am praying for may never need to know purgatory, but that if they must, it be for the shortest time possible  as well as for myself and for all those I love.  I have felt Mary's grace in my life. She wants us to pray, oh so much.

Dear Michael,

It is not by chance that i came upon the POW sight today.  I believe that the Blessed Mother intercedes for me all the time especially when I get down on life. So this morning as I started my day on a negative note and sent everyone off on their way, I sat at my computer and found the group.  What's interesting is that I have in the past few years been praying in my own way for the poor souls in purgatory as per divine instruction.  It seems each time I pray that is exactly what goes into my head "pray for the souls in Purgatory".  Now, I feel the Blessed Mother has intervened once more for me, because I have asked in prayer for each time that I feel overwhelmed by negative thoughts that she pray for me to receive the gift of thanks.  And I do each time!  I am maneuvered into a different situation each time, but always end up being so thankful and realizing my blessings and gifts and realizing that I have no reason to be down by putting myself aside and doing what I need to do and that is pray, pray, pray for others and especially those poor souls.  As I read your message, I couldn't get over your name. Here is a page of warriors all led by Michael and instructed by the Blessed Mother!  So here I am asking to be a part of this army.  God Bless you Michael, your family and all the POW's. Cristy Nutt, Santa Clarita, CA. USA

Dear Michael,
I must say, that being a member of the POW gives me the strength to say these top prayers (The Apostles Creed, 7 Our Fathers, 7 Hail Marys, and 7 Glory Bes) where otherwise I would not care to say them more than twice a day. So what I'm trying to say is, by me being in this POW group, I end up having a better and a longer prayer life. Thank you so much.
I appreciate your effort. Paul
Hi Michael
Thank you so very much for your "enlightening" reply. It breaks my heart to know that souls in Purgatory are suffering and sad.... even though one day that suffering may end. This makes me reflect even more seriously about praying for these Poor Souls and to send them little Love offerings for their relief...
I am so glad I got called to join the POW! Thanks again for keeping this group spreading all over the world!!!
May God & Our Lady bless & protect you always! Mary Jane

To all POW thank you so much for your continuous help in spreading for the souls in purgatory this is a great help for the soul who are in need of our prayers, we will pray for you for your unceasing works for the love of God and saving soul, I humble say I am happy to be one of your members. God Bless us all....mary l sumalinog

Dear Michael,

I am so glad to have found this site.  I had a difficult day today and started surfing the internet when I came upon the Medjugorje site.  I started reading about what our Lady said about praying for the souls in purgatory.  I thought it was interesting and went on with my day.

Tonight I went to Walmart, a late run to get formula and wipes for my 6 month old, as I was coming home I started praying to God about my problem and suddenly I heard crystal clear. “Pray for the souls in purgatory”.  So here I am, no questions, no what about my problem God?  I am just doing what God is telling me to do and I am doing it with all my heart and soul.  With that being said, go ahead and put me on the list. Karen Lucas, Nashville

I want to be a member of POW. I know that we all have relatives and friends in Purgatory and that prayer is the greatest gift we can give them. When you attend funerals the clergy/pastors and family assumes and talks as if the deceased soul is in heaven because it is more comforting that way. It is so true that many souls are probably one prayer away from Heaven. I can't think of a more joyous thought than that of a soul leaving purgatory to enter heaven. It certainly does substantiate the power of prayer...
Thanks for this opportunity. Laura Meyer Az USA
Dear POW Prayer Group,
I am very happy to have found your group in the internet.  Since I lost both of my parents, my father 6 years ago and my mother just last December 29, 2005, I have been praying for their souls everyday, including all the Holy Souls in Purgatory.  I want to be a member of 'POW PRAYER GROUP' in honor of my beloved parents, TEODULO and BEBIANA ARINA.  I will pray the required prayer for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory.  GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
San Pedro, Laguna

Dear Michael,

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to pray for the souls of Purgatory with an organized group such as POW. Please sign me up immediately and I will begin the 'triple seven' today.  I found out about your group by recently feeling compelled to research the happenings at Medjugorje. I thank the Holy Mother for her prompting and I pray also that your POW group grows and multiplies.
God Bless You, Mike, John Michaels

I would like to join the POW prayer group as I want to pray more fervently and effectively for the Holy Souls - this has always been important to me, however, I have just had the opportunity of reading the various articles on your web-site regarding Purgatory and I understand now so much better.  So many of my friends say there is no such thing as Purgatory - and I don't know how to respond - I will have to show them these articles and encourage them to pray for the members of their families who have passed on and for
the forgotten souls.  I have ordered a POW Chaplet today and will begin saying the Our Fathers, Hail Marys, Glory Bes To the Father and the Confiteor counting on my fingers until I receive my Chaplet.  Thank you for this quiet ministry that is so very important to Our Lord and Our Lady and to the Holy Souls and will be beneficial to myself through the eventual intercession of the Holy Souls who I may be able to assist in getting to Heaven - the goal of our lives. Ruth E. Drohan

Dear Michael, I am since many years a POW member and I can not go to sleep if the 7 Our Father are not prayed. I am sure that the poor souls don't let me sleep. Now I began to sacrifice one day and one night ( always on Friday )for the souls in purgatory and for all people who pass away the week from Friday to the next Friday. This sacrifice I give to Our beloved Mama Mary. I am a cath. lay missionary  (71 old)  living in Switzerland and helping prisoners in death row of the USA. My so-called American son in the prison of Salem Oregon, converted to the Cath. Church and has been baptized and get last year by the Bishop of Salem the Holy Sacrament of Confirmation. He is working in the death row like a missionary and he is praying a lot for the poor souls. Pls, Michael can you accept him also as a POW member. His name is: Jeffrey D. Tiner

Good day every one I am very happy to be a member of POW so in this we the living can help pray for all the souls in purgatory, we might not know we are now helping our own relatives and friends who have been died for many years since I was not born. And I know my late son Benson Jr who die last year will be happy on this.

I admire you all for stretching your arms for us all over the world bridging in helping the POW. May Our almighty God Bless you all for the works you have done, God bless . Mary l Sumalinog Davao City, Philippines

Dear Michael,

Thank you very much for your answer. On June 8, 2002, I was healed after receiving the Sacrament of the sick.  Jesus Christ had told the priest who anointed me, that I would be healed.  That I still had work to do, and that I have to pray a lot.

Since 1980 I had many M.S. attacks, and my balance was very bad, also, my hands could not hold anything. The doctor too said it has to be God who healed you, because we could not heal you.

Now I am 76 years old and not using any pills any more. Every day is for me still a miracle. When I walk to church, a 25 min. walk up hill and 20 min. down hill, I thank God over and over, you can understand that.

I really belief, that Our Lady of Medjugorje is guiding me to this group.

The priest who anointed me, said, by sharing it with the people I meet or write, I bring Christ and Hope to the ones who hear this.

Our Lady guided me first to the IIPG Prayer Group in June this year.

I know that in our Congregation, we have plenty of daily prayers, but for me it is necessary to pray as much as possible.  The good part is that my family also prays more to help me.

My prayers are going out to you and all the members of the POW Prayer Group, that we all will be faithful and by our prayers, OPEN the GATE of HEAVEN for the HOLY SOULS.
Sr. Ancilla

I'm sending you this message to thank you for this wonderful Ministry of yours. I always pray the Rosary and the Divine Mercy Rosary especially for my family and myself and then after I discovered this website I realized how selfish I was because they are many souls which need our prayers that unknowingly have been forgotten or neglected. I would like to become a member of POW, I am so happy to pray for the Holy Souls, and am proud to do so because they are our families, our friends, and our enemies who will pray for us in heaven also. Please add my name to your list and I promise you that I will be faithful to my commitment for the rest of my life. My name is Beatrice, I'm from Namibia in Africa. May the blessing of the Living Lord be with you and the POW Prayer Group. Beatrice

Hello- I am a new Catholic, I have had my 1st Communion and 1st Confession. I am attending RCIA classes weekly, and I hope to be confirmed next year! I am trying to learn all I can about my new faith, especially about the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary!! I love your website, andI want to pray for those souls in Purgatory very much. My name is DENISE-LOUISE POLYANSKY, I live in CONNECTICUT USA

Thank you for accepting my request for membership in the POW. I have been deeply affected by the recent death of our Holy Father Pope John Paul II and I felt the need to have a sense of understanding of what has happened and of what will happen now that our spiritual leader has died. I came across your website as I was researching on the Marian messages in Fatima and Medjugorje. I have read these messages years ago but I wanted to read them again and put these messages again in my heart and in my mind. Reading about these messages again, including prayers for the souls in purgatory, prayers for conversion of sinners and of the whole world for peace and unity, I felt a sense of renewal in my commitment to trust in the power of prayers. In my own little way, I would like to honor the memory of our beloved Pope by re-affirming my commitment to be a good Christian, a good wife, mother and community member, and pray for the poor souls in purgatory, pray the chaplet of Divine Mercy, and the Holy Rosary everyday of my life. May God continue to bless you in your mission to spread the word of God.

Dear Michael

I am from Derry in N Ireland I have been to Medjugorje seven times in this past five years. I will go again in October this year, I will spend my pilgrimage in prayer for the Holy Souls. I was very happy to find your page . I started my prayers the next day. I have only begun praying in a serious manner for the Holy Souls recently, I did not understand how much they depend on our prayers. I offer my prayers mostly for forgotten souls and priests. May all GOD'S blessings be with you and the pow members for their wonderful work . EILEEN DEMIRARSLAN, DERRY NORTHERN IRELAND

Dear Friend,

I would like to become a member. Since I was a little girl, I was both fascinated with and frigntened of Purgatory. As I became older, my fear overcame me to the point that I turned away from the Catholic Church seeking refuge in other beliefs that Purgatory did not exist. But, as always, the Holy Spirit will not let the soul rest when it is not following the path that God has intended it to follow. Since my reconversion back to the Catholic faith about 10 years ago the fire to help the poor souls has been rekindled. At first it was slow, but the pace is increasing each day. I say the prayer of St. Gertrude the Great, which is said to release 1000 souls from purgatory every time it is said, at least once a day. I say the Invocations of the Holy Wounds, which the Blessed Mother has said is “…the treasure of treasures for the souls in Purgatory…” , on my rosary beads often. Now, I can add the 7 Our Father’s, Hail Mary’s, Glory Be’s and the Creed to my daily prayers!

Thank you for this prayer group. I find solace in my days knowing that I will someday get to meet all the wonderful Holy Souls that I have prayed for throughout my life here on earth. It’s nice to know that others are praying for them too!

I will pray for the continual growing membership of Purgatory Oblation Warriors because membership needs to grow so much more.

Sincerely, Colleen Pearson, Ohio

Dear Brother in Christ, I wish to be become a member of the POW member. I have always try to pray for all the souls in Purgatory when I say my rosary and after reading and understand more about the Holy souls in the Purgatory in your website, I'll pray even harder for the quick release of the Holy souls from the Purgatory so that in return the Holy souls can pray for us when they are in heaven. My name is Annrose Yapp Kim Jin Jalan Utara, Panaga, Seria, Brunei Darussalam

Dear Michael, I have written you earlier to be put on the POW Prayer List. When I was 21 I had a near death expirence. I almost died. I came out of my body and was floating in the night sky. I was in the car below. I cried to Jesus! Help me Jesus. I was all alone. At the time I was not doing things I was supposed to be doing. I saw a bridge like thing, but I couldn't find the openning. In the far off distance I saw a beautiful light. So I started to move toward the light. Then I heard a voice say, "if you move toward that light you will die". So I stopped. And the voice said in a stern way. "What have you done with your life?" I felt ashamed because I had been up to no good. I said I haven't done nothing! Please give me another chance. I'll do better. I haven't had children yet. So the next thing I know I'm back in my body and I can't breath. And I was really afraid that I was going to die. I have since come back to the Catholic Church. I felt I was going to purgatory. So I will pray for these Holy Soul in purgatory, as a form of service. God Bless, Mayra

Dear Sister or Brother in Christ Jesus! What a wonderful group! I do believe in purgatory and I will begin praying more fervently for the souls in purgatory! Michele R. Cooper

Dear prayer Group, I want to say that I hope you are doing well, I pray that God will answer my request, for I ask for our virgin mary blessing and Graces and protection for me and my family and love ones and also for peace. may Gods blessing be with you. Guadlupe Newland

Thank you for letting me become a member. What a pleasure to spend time praying for the souls in purgatory. I will do it, and I do . As they get to heaven, they in turn are our biggest supporters and prayer partners. Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen (who taught me my faith) always said, " as we enter heaven we will see them, so many of them, coming towards us and thanking us. We will ask who they are and they will say a poor soul you prayed for in purgatory". Oh yes, I am so happy to pray for the holy souls, and am proud to do so as they are our families, our friends, our parishioners and yes our enemies who will pray for us in heaven also. Thanks Michael. I will ask God to bless you abundantly. Alice A. Nolan

Michael....Happy feast day.....the Holy Souls have always been in my fervent prayers,,,,but more so now as I found out recently that someone I loved very much died 6 years ago.......a fallen away Catholic nevertheless a child of God.....it never worked out between he and I and I gave him to our Dear Blessed Mother when I was in Medjugorje and told her if we couldn't be happy on earth that one day let us be happy together in heaven one day....I have never forgotten this man...the news of his death has been overwhelming to me...especially since he was buried in Rose Cemetery a sign of OUR BLESSED MOTHER and buried on First Saturday in the month of May....I had asked Our Lady recently, since he lived in a city which celebrates a Marian Mass on the feast of the Assumption in a big way that if he knew what was going on at that church to send me the sign of a ROSE....... on the feast day of St Rose of Lima I found out that he died in the year of the 100th anniversary of the Little Flowers death 1997 and that he is buried in a cemetey that bares the name of ROSE....I know that our Lady answered my prayers telling me that he knew the happenings and letting me know of his death....I went to Medjugorje in 1987 she never forgot....where his soul is no one on this earth knows I just feel so much that he is asking for prayers...I had to share this with someone...I had to let someone know that our dear Lady loves us all....that she never abandons us her children.......I love the Holy Souls praying for them makes me happy to know there is something I can do ......God Bless your ministry IT IS AWESOME....In the Hearts of Jesus and His Holy Mother.....Rose Marie
