Within the framework of usual changes of pastoral staff in the Franciscan Herzegovinian Province, and according to the Regulations of the Church, Fr. Petar Vlašić was appointed new Pastor of Medjugorje. From the year 2000 to now, he has been vicar in Medjugorje, in charge of the filial church of the Merciful Jesus in Šurmanci.

Newly appointed parish vicars in Medjugorje are Fr. Danko Perutina and Fr. Miljenko Šteko, and Bro. Vjekoslav Milićević is in Medjugorje as deacon.

Dr. Fra Ivan Sesar, has been elected a Provincial. Fr. Bože Milić was entrusted with the duty of the secretary of the province, and both of them are now in Mostar. Fr. Ljubo Kurtović was entrusted with the duty of master of the seminarians in Zagreb.
