Miracle
of 34th Street. Some children just refuse to listen to their parents.
An irresistible little girl (Natalie Wood, "West Side Story") refuses to believe
that St. Nick, does not exist, no matter how many times her mother (Maureen
O'Hara, "Mr. Hobbs Takes a Vacation") tells her so. With Christmas right around
the corner, little Susan sits on the lap of Santa Claus (Edmund Gwenn "The Keys
to the Kingdom") in a Macy's Department Store, without her mother knowing.
Susan's mother believes this ample belly snowy bearded man belongs in a mentally
challenged institution. Her daughter however falls in love with this jolly ole'
soul, who believes he really is Santa Claus. What will it take to figure this
all out is a "Miracle of 34th Street." Edmund Gwenn won an Academy Award (1947)
for Best Supporting Actor. Other Oscar's received, Best Original Story and Best
Screenplay. This timeless tale of faith, love and imagination knows no bounds
from generation to generation. A true classic it remains one of the most popular
best-loved holiday films of all time. Medjugorje USA gives this movie a rating
