Book "Medjugorje Investigated" Once Again Confirmed Correct by Apparition Expert.

January 11, 2012, In a video interview with "RomeReports," apparition expert Saverio Gaeta offered what he feels will be the result of the Medjugorje apparitions. Gaeta states, “This is the first time in history that a commission established by the Holy See investigates an apparition, it's the first time absolutely, in the history of apparitions... It's unprecedented, so we can't compare it to other apparitions. ”Gaeta highlights that the investigation commission is still in the analyzing phase, and, in his opinion, it's not likely that its conclusions will ever be released.

In my book, "Medjugorje Investigated," I stated Vatican involvement in the findings of apparitions were unheard of (in the history of all previous apparitions,) until Medjugorje. In other articles posted on Medjugorje USA in past years, I also stated that never in the history of the church as the Vatican ever been a part of determining if a Marian apparition is supernatural or false. I noted several times that the duty of determining the status of apparitions is the soul duty of a local bishop in the region where claimed apparitions are taking place. I have also stated in many articles though the years that the best possible decision by the Medjugorje Commission is "no conclusion at all," as apparition expert Saverio Vaeta also recently agrees in the video interview with RomeReports. (Video link of interview at bottom of this article.)

In the case of Medjugorje, a former U.S. Ambassador to Yugoslavia (now deceased and Yugoslavia now no longer a country) was asked by the U.S. Stated Department to investigate the Medjugorje apparitions. Ambassador David Anderson discovered that the first commission assembled by the local bishop (Pavao Zanic) was tainted with unbelievers to obtain a negative result. Reporting this to the U.S. State Department, Anderson also sent a classified document called and "AirGram" to the Vatican to inform them of the tainted commission. This was to set wheels in motion leading to three failed attempts to form commissions capable of reaching a decision on the Medjugorje apparitions.

Finally after the 3 failed local attempts, the "Congregation of the Doctrine of Faith" was put in charge of investigating Medjugorje. From this the 4th so called, "Independent Commission" was formed. Currently to date they are still investigating the Medjugorje apparitions.

As author of Medjugorje Investigated, I have been in a number of heated debates by those who have read Medjugorje Investigated or read one of the related articles on Medjugorje USA. I have been told over and over again that my assessment of the Medjugorje apparitions are incorrect, and that the Vatican is always involved in the fate of alleged apparitions. I have stood opposed many time stating the Vatican has never involves itself in the finding of apparitions until Medjugorje, adding prior to the Medjugorje investigations, its always been the sole duty of a local bishop to investigate local phenomenon. As stated many times in my articles over the past several years, these facts makes the Medjugorje apparitions unprecedented and historical.

It is also true however that The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith reevaluated the criteria of investigating apparitions from 1974-1978. This evaluation resulted in doctrine which allows for a process which the local bishop's decision may well be not acceptable and or the local bishop may request added help from other church sources such as The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. This new criteria of investigating apparitions are likely the result of the Garabandal apparitions. The last apparition in Garabandal took place on November 13, 1965. There was much talk about the decision of the local bishop over the Garabandal apparitions and fact he determined they were not supernatural in nature. This decision came as a shock to most as the Garabandal apparitions were full of most unusual unexplainable events, witnessed by thousands. Even today many ask for a new commission to be formed to investigate the Garbandal apparitions but this unlikely because the 1974-1978 reevaluation on apparitions were not part of church rule and policy at the time.

Even so, at the time of the Medjugorje apparitions, this new criteria was in place due to the 1974-1978 reevaluation. The new guidelines have never been asked for by a local bishop nor overtaken by the Congregation of the Doctrine of Faith, again until Medjugorje. Apparition expert Saverio Gaeta confirms my now 14 years of study on this topic, by stating in his video interview on Jan. 11, 2012,  This is the first time in history that a commission established by the Holy See investigates an apparition, it's the first time absolutely, in the history of apparitions... It's unprecedented, so we can't compare it to other apparitions."  Again, I have been stating this little known fact publicly since before the release of my book "Medjugorje Investigated," June 25, 2006. I am happy to say I will never have to stand opposed again with those who insist the Vatican has always been involved with the study and determinations of claimed apparitions.
